Talent Acquisition Supervisor:
The Talent Acquisition (TA) Supervisor plays a key leadership role in driving recruiting excellence, supporting team performance, and aligning recruitment strategies with business goals. This role involves leading a team of recruiters, optimizing talent acquisition processes, and serving as a trusted partner to senior leadership. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and hands-on contributor with strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and support a team of recruiters through weekly 1:1s, performance check-ins, and team huddles.
- Conduct team member evaluations in partnership with the TA Director.
- Coordinate and support onboarding for new team members.
- Provide continuous coaching, sales training, and support for team development.
- Encourage shadowing and reverse-shadowing for real-time learning and peer mentoring.
- Foster a culture of open communication, accountability, and high performance.
Recruitment Strategy & Execution
- Take ownership of requisitions in key job categories to maintain hands-on understanding of the work.
- Drive proactive candidate outreach and networking strategies to attract top talent in challenging markets.
- Develop and evaluate innovative sourcing strategies, including untapped outreach methods.
- Partner with hiring leaders to deeply understand role requirements, candidate profiles, and team dynamics.
- Present competitor intelligence and market insights in a clear, actionable format.
- Guide recruiters in candidate evaluation, sales tactics, and closing strategies.
Operational Excellence
- Organize and optimize TA processes for increased efficiency and consistent delivery.
- Analyze search efforts, offers, declines, and market trends to make strategic recommendations.
- Monitor team and individual metrics regularly; use data to assess performance and drive results.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with business and TA leadership.
- Prepare and present team performance reviews and strategic insights to senior leaders.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a liaison with senior leadership (Director level and above), attending meetings and sharing key updates.
- Serve as a brand ambassador and subject matter expert on ABC’s unique value proposition to candidates and internal teams.
- Build trusted partnerships with hiring leaders, operators, and regional leaders to align hiring efforts with business needs.
Sales & Influence
- Train and support recruiters on sales techniques, compensation negotiation, and value-based candidate engagement.
- Equip the team to effectively communicate ABC’s benefits, differentiators, and career growth opportunities.
- Model effective storytelling to convert passive candidates into engaged applicants.
Performance Management & Accountability
- Set and track team and individual goals aligned to business priorities.
- Facilitate bi-monthly center-level goal reviews, offer/rejection analysis, and sourcing strategy discussions.
- Lead mini-huddles and regional strategy sessions to ensure alignment and adaptability.
- Encourage creativity and recognize accomplishments through preferred recognition styles.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition
- Proven performance
- Strong understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing strategies, and market intelligence.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable using data to drive decision-making and present to executive leadership.
- High emotional intelligence with a proactive and strategic mindset.
