The Human Resources Director oversees all functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. This role ensures that strategic human resource planning supports overall business objectives while fostering a positive employee experience, strong culture, and compliance across the organization.


In this position you will:


  • Develop HR department goals that align with CPC’s strategic objectives.
  • Plan, develop, and lead company-wide programs and initiatives to enhance CPC’s culture, mission, vision, and values. 
  • Partner with the Leadership Committee on organizational strategy related to staffing, retention, and employee engagement.
  • Help identify talent within and outside the organization and oversee recruitment efforts (e.g., job posting, scheduling of interviews, background and reference checking, etc.).
  • Oversee initial orientation and onboarding of all new employees to ensure positive and consistent new-hire experience.
  • Coach, counsel and advise supervisors and senior leadership on HR-related topics and concerns.
  • Facilitate and/or coordinate HR-related training as needed (e.g., leadership development, interviewing, hiring, performance reviews, supervisory skills, conflict resolution, etc.).
  • Design, implement and maintain necessary HR processes, policies and programs that support organizational effectiveness.
  • Review and update employee handbook on an annual basis and/or as needed.
  • Implement and maintain a human resource information system (HRIS) to support personnel data management and reporting needs.
  • Manage the performance review process to ensure consistency and accountability.
  • Regularly analyze salary data to develop competitive compensation plans that are legally defensible and ensure pay equity.
  • Coordinate benefits administration including annual renewal negotiations, benefits package design, and enrollment with appropriate carriers.
  • Manage extended leaves, FMLA, ADA compliance, Employee Assistance Program, unemployment claims and worker’s compensation matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Proactively assess employee morale and engagement and develop strategies to address concerns.
  • Advise management on employment-related decisions and issues.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and response to employee complaints.
  • Oversee employment separations (e.g. offboarding, exit interviews).
  • Ensure accurate maintenance and confidentiality of personnel files and HR records.
  • Lead, coach, and manage HR department staff and oversee departmental performance.
  • Manage the HR department budget and financial resources.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in committees and special projects as needed.
  • Maintain professional knowledge by staying current on latest trends and compliance requirements, seeking out educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Here’s what you will need to bring to the table:


  • B.S. in HR Management or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in human resources
  • HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR) preferred
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and leadership capability
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage conflicts and resolve problems effectively
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, regulations and compliance requirements
  • Active involvement with appropriate HR networks and organizations preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical/biologic/medical device industry preferred



Targeted Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 annually
