About the Organization:

This organization is a Tampa‑based, growth‑oriented professional services firm. Known for its strong leadership, collaborative culture, and long‑term client relationships, the company has built a reputation as a respected employer within its market and has been recognized locally as a top workplace.

What You’ll Do:

We're looking for a dynamic Human Resources Director to serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership and a champion for all employees. This is a high-impact, highly visible role operating at an executive level. You will thrive if you're a leader who doesn't wait to be asked and identifies what the organization needs and drive it forward with confidence and conviction.

As the company scales, this individual will be instrumental in shaping the people infrastructure, culture, and talent strategy that supports the company's continued growth.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the CEO and executive leadership team, bringing a clear and confident point of view on all people matters, and the credibility to drive decisions forward

  • Partner directly with divisional and functional leaders across all lines of business to scale people practices that can keep pace with growth

  • Own and elevate all HR operations end-to-end — payroll, benefits, compensation, total rewards, compliance, employee relations, and HR administration

  • Champion and strengthen the company's culture by leading engagement and employee experience initiatives that reflect company values and resonate across a geographically distributed workforce

  • Leverage workforce analytics, HR technology, and AI-enabled tools to deliver data-driven insights that sharpen leadership decision-making

  • Track departmental KPIs tied directly to business outcomes

  • Identify, select, and actively manage external HR vendors, benefits partners, and consultants

  • Command the room in leadership meetings, company-wide forums, and training sessions, presenting HR insights, recommendations, and updates with executive-level clarity and conviction

  • Ensure airtight compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across all markets where the company operates, proactively protecting both the organization and its people

What We’re Looking For:

Must Have’s:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience

  • 5+ years of people management experience

  • Strong background in compliance, payroll, benefits, and employee relations

  • Experience partnering closely with executive and senior leadership

  • Ability to operate with autonomy while collaborating across functions

  • Data‑driven mindset with experience leveraging HR metrics and insights

  • Strong communication, judgment, and decision‑making skills

Nice-to-Have’s:

  • HR certification such as SHRM‑CP or SHRM‑SCP

  • Experience leading an HRIS implementation or major system upgrade

  • Exposure to multi‑line‑of‑business or decentralized organizations

  • Experience supporting growth through acquisitions

  • Familiarity with AI tools or process automation within HR
