Human Resources Director


NATURE OF WORK:

Performs high-level leadership and oversight of Quality Connections' human resources functions under the general supervision of the Chief Administration Officer. This position is responsible for recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, workforce planning, and HR operations. The Human Resources Director develops systems that attract, develop, and retain exceptional employees while ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws and organizational policies. This position supervises HR administrative staff and partners with organizational leadership to strengthen culture, develop future leaders, and support organizational growth. Performs related duties as assigned.

TYPICAL DUTIES:


Talent Acquisition & Workforce Development
  • Develop and maintain effective recruitment strategies and talent pipelines.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes.
  • Partner with managers to support hiring decisions and workforce planning.
  • Monitor hiring and retention metrics and recommend improvements.
  • Build partnerships with colleges, workforce agencies, and community organizations to strengthen recruitment efforts.


Employee Relations & Organizational Culture
  • Promote a positive, professional employee experience.
  • Support supervisors with employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement and retention initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.


Leadership Development & Training
  • Develop training programs for new supervisors and managers.
  • Create career development pathways that encourage long-term employment and internal advancement.
  • Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
  • Coordinate organization-wide staff development programs.
  • Coordinate, provide, and refine training & certifications.


Human Resources Operations & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee personnel records, onboarding documentation, and HR systems.
  • Administer Workers' Compensation, unemployment claims, and employment records.
  • Identify and mitigate organizational HR compliance risks.



Benefits & Administrative Operations
  • Oversee employee benefits administration and vendor relationships.
  • Partner with Finance on payroll coordination, deductions, and employment changes.
  • Supervise HR administrative and front office personnel.
  • Support organizational projects and process improvements that strengthen HR operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field; OR any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, administration, or organizational leadership, including supervisory experience, preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred, or ability to obtain.
  • Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record (past three years) and be eligible for a Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
