Job Description: The Human Resources Director will oversee strategic and operational initiatives for the HR department at Jasper Memorial Hospital in Monticello, GA. The ideal candidate for this position will have the leadership skills necessary to oversee and strategically manage the department while ensuring compliance in all areas. The HR Director will be responsible for building and maintaining a strong HR team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building and succession planning.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, onboarding, employee lifecycle maintenance, succession planning, and offboarding.
- Researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensures the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Oversees strategic planning and ensures compliant execution of employment benefits including health and ancillary insurance, retirement plans, time off, continuing education, and others.
- Oversees FMLA, ADA, and other leave facilitation.
- Partners with leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Provides support and guidance to employees regarding employee relations and disciplinary action items while supporting managers, maintaining compliance, and ensuring consistency.
- Maintains knowledge of and analyzes HR regulatory changes, best practices, and trends to develop solutions and processes that improve the department and company.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while dealing with problems involving several variables in particular situations.
- Performs the essential duties of the position and completes additional responsibilities, special projects, and other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs
