You won't be stepping into a purely administrative HR role. We're looking for someone who enjoys thinking strategically about people, culture, and operations, and who is comfortable advising leaders, improving processes, and helping shape how HR supports the business of the business.
You'll work closely with our current Strategic HR Director, who is actively mentoring the person stepping into this role with the goal of transitioning leadership over the next several months. The right person will gain deep exposure to the business while helping strengthen the HR infrastructure that supports our continued growth.

What You'll Be Doing
- Work closely with the current HR Director to develop scalable HR processes, systems, and strategy that support the company's continued growth.
- Learn the business deeply to align people strategy with operational and financial outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and leaders - providing thoughtful guidance, support, and problem-solving.
- Help shape and strengthen the company's culture by reinforcing a workplace that is collaborative, accountable, and growth oriented.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that foster connection, motivation, and long-term commitment.
- Partner with the Payroll, Benefits and Onboarding Specialist to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the organization, including 30/60/90-day check-ins, addressing training needs, and reinforcing HR as an ongoing resource for employees.
- Assist in developing competitive benefits offerings while supporting day-to-day benefits questions and administration with the HR team.
- Handle employee relations matters with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment.
- Provide clear guidance to employees on policies, procedures, and HR programs.
- Maintain HR compliance documentation including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, VOEs, and related processes.
- Provide leadership with thoughtful HR insights that support smart business decisions and organizational development.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve HR processes, communication, and employee experience.
What Skills You'll Bring
- 7+ years of well-rounded HR experience (HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager experience preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field (SHRM certification a plus)
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, and HR best practices
- Curiosity and a desire to learn the business behind the business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - approachable, thoughtful, and emotionally intelligent
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive mindset - someone who sees opportunities and works to improve them Comfort using HR systems and technology platforms
