About the Role:
The HR Generalist will support day‑to‑day HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and policy implementation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a production‑driven setting, and is passionate about supporting employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop job descriptions for a wide range of roles, manage job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination.
- Facilitate new hire orientation with a focus on safety, quality, and company values.
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees on the shop floor and in the office.
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Administer health benefits, PTO, leave programs, and workers’ compensation.
- Support payroll processes and ensure accuracy for hourly and salaried staff.
- Assist employees with 401(k) and other benefit-related inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Maintain HRIS platform, accurate HR documentation, personnel files and track HR Metrics.
- Support safety compliance and training documentation in coordination with operations.
- Assist with performance management, succession planning, and learning and development initiatives.
About You- Prior HR generalist experience is required.
- Ability to build trust with employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Effective conflict resolution and problem‑solving abilities and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with HR software (Workday, ADP, BambooHR, Paycom, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PHR, SHRM‑CP, or SPHR certification is a plus.
