HR Leadership & Strategy

Altus Commercial Receivables is seeking a HR Director as we continue to grow our team!  This role will serve as a key member of the leadership team. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing HR strategy aligned with our long-term business objectives, while also managing the day-to-day operations of the HR function. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable working with executives and on the ground implementing processes, resolving issues, and supporting managers.
                              
Job Responsibilities: 
Strategic Leadership
  • Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with organizational goals, workforce planning, and succession needs.
  • Advise leadership with regards to talent pipeline, and culture initiatives.
Operational & Hands-On Management
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, ensuring excellent delivery of core HR services.
  • Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention efforts.
  • Manage employee relations and provide direct support to managers on performance and development matters.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Implement, refine, and improve HR systems, processes, and policies for scalability.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll functions to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
  • Overseeing employee training and development programs to enhance skills and career growth opportunities.
  • Lead the development of benefit orientations and benefit trainings.
  • Direct the periodic review, revision and general maintenance of position classifications, salary grades, and salary ranges, working collaboratively to determine implementation and sustainability plans for modifications.
  • Instrumental in all mergers and acquisitions activity in relation to HR.
Job Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certification preferred).
  • 8–10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including experience in a director-level or senior HR role.
  • Demonstrated success leading HR in a company of comparable size (200+ employees, multi-location preferred).
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to link HR strategy to financial and operational results.
  • Hands-on approach — willing to dive into details while keeping sight of the bigger picture.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
