Role Overview

Opportunity for a HR BP to join a reputable business and work with a highly motivated and developmental focused Head of HR and carve the way for a clear succession plan. Career-defining opportunity to join a reputable and national Agriculture business as part of a high performing HR Team. Report directly to the Head of Human Resources, this is a high-impact and strategic role with the opportunity to work with and add HR value to your internal stakeholders.

Partner with business leaders and managers to understand business goals and develop, support, and implement HR strategies that support these goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the employee experience by participating and implementing HR projects and initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness and promote engagement and retention.
  • Lead the recruitment process to ensure the right talent is in place.
  • Design and implement effective onboarding programs for new, promoted or transferred employees and provide ongoing support during their first 6 months to enhance their integration.
  • Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, performance conversations, feedback sessions, development planning, talent reviews, and succession planning.
  • Support remuneration reviews, bonus and incentive programs, benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Develop and implement training and development programs to support employee growth and skill enhancement.
  • Analyse HR metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Contribute to mergers and acquisitions by actively participating in the due diligence and integration efforts.
  • Provide guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and a positive employee experience.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, investigations, grievances, and performance management.
  • Stay current on industry trends, employment laws, modern awards, and best practices to enhance HR policies and ensure compliance.

 

Candidate Profile

You are a results-driven HR professional with a strong focus on effective safety leadership, promoting hazard reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. You bring a solid understanding of HR principles across talent acquisition, performance and talent management, employee relations, remuneration and benefits, and employment law. You’re known for aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, supported by strong business acumen and a data-driven approach to decision-making. You have a proven ability to build trusted relationships across all levels and sites, with well-developed stakeholder management and communication skills. You’re experienced in managing complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution, and confident in leading and supporting change. You work proactively and collaboratively, with a strong solutions-focused mindset. You’re also highly proficient in HR systems, performance tools, and analytics, and flexible to travel to regional and rural areas on a bi-monthly basis.
