Are you a senior strategic leader with a strong focus on uplifting organisational capability and workforce governance and a proven ability to partner as a trusted advisor to executive and operational leaders to deliver and execute strategic priorities?
We’re seeking an experienced General Manager – People & Culture (P&C) to lead the execution of the human resources delivery model across business partnering, centres of expertise and services, reporting to our Chief People, Culture and Sustainability Officer.
The Role
Execute and Embed Pacific Energy’s People and Culture strategy, ensuring it translates into practical, scalable outcomes that support our operating model.
Lead the end-to-end delivery of the People and Culture service model, maintaining seamless execution across Business Partnering, Centres of Expertise, and Shared Services.
Drive end-to-end talent sourcing and workforce planning, partnering with leaders to forecast future capability, integrate recruitment and mobilisation, and build sustainable talent pipelines that support business growth and continuity.
Govern people data, analytics, and systems, operationalising workforce insights, optimising and integrating P&C platforms, and proactively identifying trends in attrition, engagement, capability, and compliance risk to inform decisive action.
Direct change, engagement, and culture initiatives by executing operational change management and communications, partnering with CoEs to uplift and embed values, translating engagement insights into measurable outcomes, and role-modelling inclusive, values-aligned leadership behaviours.
Oversee People and Culture risk and compliance by strengthening people process governance across employment, ER, renumeration, data, and systems, proactively mitigating workforce and employment-related risks, and maintaining readiness for audits, tenders, regulators, and key stakeholders.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related discipline; postgraduate qualification desirable.
Extensive experience in senior HR or People & Culture leadership roles within complex or regulated environments.
Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law, industrial relations, and workforce governance.
Demonstrated experience leading large, multi-disciplinary HR teams and service delivery models.
High capability in workforce analytics, HR systems, and evidence-based decision making.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, influence, and communication skills.
Strategic yet pragmatic leadership style with strong execution focus.
High levels of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and accountability
