About the Job:
The People & Culture (P&C) Generalist is responsible for cultivating a positive workplace environment in alignment with Taco Bell's policies, procedures, and brand standards. Working closely with field operations leadership, the P&C Generalist provides comprehensive employee relations services throughout the organization, including HR consulting, conducting investigations, conflict resolution, and contributing to the well-being, morale, and productivity of a substantial hourly workforce across multiple states within Taco Bell's corporate-owned restaurants. Additionally, the P&C Generalist acts as a strategic partner to the field operations team, supporting talent development, bench planning, and collaborating with the Field HR leadership team to advance HR initiatives.
The Day-to-Day:
• Leads internal employee relations investigations and delivers resolution recommendations, including corrective action and terminations.
• Serves as the primary intake and liaison for employee complaints, responding with urgency to resolve conflict and clarify policies, procedures, and employment law.
• Advises and coaches restaurant leaders through complex people matters, strengthening leadership capability and providing practical tools for future situations.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws, including oversight of annual compliance training initiatives.
• Partners with Legal to investigate and respond to EEOC charges and other employment-related claims.
• Conducts stay and exit interviews, translating insights into actionable improvements in partnership with Operations and HR leadership.
• Supports employees with day-to-day HR inquiries (payroll, benefits, training) while partnering with Field HR to drive standardized, scalable process improvements and talent development.
Is this you?
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and related experience
• SHRM and/or HRCI certification preferred
• Minimum 3+ years experience in employee relations, preferably in a multi-unit/multi-state environment with a large hourly employee population
• Strong knowledge of employment law and its practical application, with the ability to consult on conflict resolution and complex employee relations matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, advise, and partner effectively across all levels of the organization; bilingual capability preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing demands and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with flexibility to support nights and weekends as needed.
• Solid understanding of equity, inclusion, and belonging principles, with the adaptability to navigate change and support a diverse workforce.
• Experience in the quick service restaurant field is a plus

Salary Range: $80,300 to $94,300 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
