Description

With an endless stream of content coming across our feeds, now more than ever we want to be able to turn to people we trust for news, information, and advice. With a roster of over 1400 on-air talent, Sinclair values the people that are the faces of our stations and wants to help each of them grow into something more. As Director of Talent Development, Social & Sponsored will be the key point person for Sinclair’s roster of anchors, reporters, producers and other journalists to help define and grow their personal brands.

RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Oversee the development and implementation of talent-based social content strategies aimed at increasing awareness and engagement for both the talent and our brands
  • Work directly with key on-air talent to develop and define their personal brands, and collaborate with Creative & Content teams to execute personalized content plans that expand the talent’s profile through original digital programming
  • Create and distribute talent centric decks that clearly outline their growth and revenue potential across all avenues and lines of business
  • Track talent social handles and provide weekly performance reporting to guide strategic shifts on their content strategy to maximize growth and engagement across all platforms
  • Identify and Secure external talent (ie: influencers/content creators) for brand partnerships and lead all aspects of associated productions
  • Liaise with internal partners to ensure all contractual obligations are met, and work closely with internal teams to ensure all external expectations are exceeded.
  • Research and Recruit up-and-coming talent to join our editorial teams.

EXPERIENCE

  • 7-10 years working in talent management, brand partnerships, and digital content
  • Extensive knowledge of all social platforms, and the monetization opportunities for each
  • Experience developing and producing original social and short-form content
  • Reliable rolodex of agents, managers, publicists, and content creators
  • Familiarity with talent contracts, partnership agreements, and guild/unions rules

The base salary compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
