The Director, Business Partnering – APAC is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic and operational excellence across the Asia-Pacific region. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, aligning business objectives with people and operational strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of strategic insight and hands-on execution, with the agility to navigate the diverse cultural, regulatory, and market dynamics across APAC countries.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with leadership teams across APAC to shape and execute regional/local strategies aligned with global business goals.
  • Provide thought leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on regional and local trends, risks, and opportunities.

Operational Excellence

  • Translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives tailored to country-specific needs.
  • Ensure effective implementation of programs and policies across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with HR, Finance, Legal, and other corporate functions to ensure cohesive support for business units.
  • Lead or support regional projects, including M&A integration, talent development, and transformation initiatives

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with regional/country leaders and functional heads to understand business challenges and co-create solutions.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across markets.

Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to local labor laws, corporate policies, and ethical standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate operational and compliance risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business partnering, HR, or strategy roles
  • Has a strong generalist background that has in depth understanding of the end to end HR functions
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives in a matrixed, multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working across multiple APAC countries or global stakeholder management
