Primary purpose:
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will handle administrative responsibilities, ensure compliance, and execute talent acquisition activities while working closely with HR professionals, candidates, and hiring managers across the organization. This role is crucial for managing recruiting efforts, building positive relationships with candidates, and creating a strong first impression of Tallgrass. The coordinator will report directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager and support ongoing HR projects as needed.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Assist with talent acquisition tasks, including creating and posting job descriptions, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, accurately entering data in Oracle and ADP, and coordinating onboarding activities.
Coach hiring managers and interviewers on recruiting best practices, promoting non-discriminatory and unbiased hiring decisions.
Monitor recruitment activities, update candidate statuses and job requisitions, and perform substantial data entry into spreadsheets.
Support sourcing, engaging, assessing, and hiring top talent across multiple departments and disciplines.
Take ownership of the recruitment process and suggest improvements in collaboration with the recruitment team.
Work with various departments through Jira to manage onboarding tickets, track progress, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new hires.
Maintain relationships with external recruiting partners and vendors, including colleges, employment agencies, and recruiters.
Maintain electronic and virtual filing systems and ensure accuracy and compliance of HRIS systems, including employee records, job postings, recruiting, onboarding, and personnel files.
Assist with Jira tickets and provide other HR support as required.
Collaborate with IT to support Oracle system testing, troubleshoot issues, and follow up on open tickets to ensure timely resolution and system accuracy.
Provide HR customer service by responding to employee requests and questions. Monitor talent development inbox on a rotating basis.
Support programs throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance reviews, mentorship, leadership development, professional development, and employee engagement.
Collaborate with the Senior Talent Acquisition Coordinator to support additional coordinator functions as needed.
Education and Experience:
An associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a minimum of three years of direct experience as an HR Generalist or Talent Acquisition Coordinator may substitute for the degree.
Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in a fast-paced environment and across multiple disciplines.
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting is essential.
Strong proficiency in Canva for creating professional presentations and visual communications is required.
Experience with Oracle Recruitment Cloud is highly desirable and preferred.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
Valid driver’s license with a driving record satisfactory to the company and insurers (for travel).

Working Conditions:
Primarily office-based with occasional travel (approximately 25%) to field locations, including remote outdoor facilities.
May require working non-traditional hours.
Must carry a cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
