Job
Description:
As the
Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for our manufacturing plant, you will lead
the HR, Industrial Relations (IR), and Legal functions, ensuring compliance
with local laws and regulations while driving strategic HR initiatives. You
will report directly to the CEO or Plant Manager and collaborate closely with
senior management.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and execute HR
strategies aligned with the manufacturing plant’s business objectives and
local market dynamics.
- Drive talent acquisition,
development, and retention strategies to support business growth.
- Industrial Relations (IR):
- Manage relationships with
unions, employee councils, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead negotiations for wage
agreements, settlements, and manage industrial disputes effectively.
- Legal Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all
Indian labor laws, regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Advise management on legal
implications and risks related to employment and labor relations.
- Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive work
environment through effective communication and conflict resolution
strategies.
- Implement employee
engagement initiatives and programs to enhance morale and productivity.
- HR Operations and Systems:
- Oversee HR operations
including payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
- Implement and optimize HR
systems to streamline processes and ensure data accuracy and security.
- Training and Development:
- Develop training programs
to enhance employee skills, safety awareness, and regulatory compliance.
- Promote a culture of
continuous learning and professional development across the organization.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Design and manage
competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain
talent.
- Conduct periodic reviews
and analysis to ensure pay equity and market competitiveness.
- Performance Management:
- Implement performance
management systems to assess and improve employee performance.
- Provide guidance and
support to managers on performance evaluation and career development.
- HR Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize HR data analytics
to drive insights and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare and present HR
metrics, trends, and reports to senior management.
