The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is the strategic HR leader responsible for developing and executing the human resources strategy for COMPANY
This role oversees the design and implementation of an integrated HR framework that supports the company's business expansion across Thailand, managing both Chinese expatriates and local Thai employees.
The CHRO partners closely with the General Manager, Headquarters, COO, and business leaders to drive organizational development, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, compliance, succession planning, and cross-cultural integration. The role ensures full compliance with Thai labor laws while building a high-performance organization capable of supporting long-term business growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall HR strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and expansion plans.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve the organizational structure, workforce planning, manpower budget, and job architecture across all business functions.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide strategic HR guidance that supports commercial vehicle sales, after-sales services, marketing, and KD manufacturing operations.
- Lead executive recruitment and talent acquisition for local management, sales, marketing, after-sales, technical, and corporate functions.
- Establish and maintain a strong talent pipeline and succession planning framework to support future organizational growth.
- Develop and implement performance management systems aligned with business KPIs and organizational objectives.
- Design competitive compensation, benefits, incentive, bonus, and recognition programs based on Thailand's automotive industry market practices.
- Manage HR operations for both Thai employees and Chinese expatriates, including visa applications, work permits, relocation, employee welfare, and employee engagement.
- Ensure full compliance with Thai labor laws, employment regulations, statutory benefits, payroll practices, and HR governance requirements.
- Lead employee relations, labor negotiations, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, grievance handling, and labor dispute prevention.
- Establish HR policies, procedures, internal controls, and compliance frameworks to minimize organizational and legal risks.
- Drive organizational development (OD), leadership development, succession planning, and employee capability-building initiatives.
- Promote a strong corporate culture and enhance collaboration between Chinese expatriates and Thai employees through effective cross-cultural communication and change management.
- Manage third-party HR service providers, recruitment agencies, payroll vendors, and external HR consultants.
- Prepare HR analytics, workforce reports, localization metrics, turnover analysis, manpower planning, and HR cost reports for the General Manager and Headquarters.
- Collaborate closely with COMPANY International Headquarters to implement global HR policies, leadership reviews, talent assessments, and strategic HR initiatives.
- Lead special HR projects and perform other responsibilities assigned by senior management.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role within the automotive, manufacturing, industrial, or multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of Thai Labor Law, employment regulations, social security, payroll, compensation & benefits, and statutory compliance.
- Proven experience managing HR functions across the full employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation & benefits, organizational development, succession planning, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Experience supporting overseas subsidiaries and managing multicultural workforces, particularly Chinese expatriates and Thai employees.
- Strong understanding of organizational design, workforce planning, manpower budgeting, HR analytics, and strategic business partnering.
- Demonstrated experience leading executive recruitment and developing leadership talent pipelines.
- Excellent knowledge of performance management systems, KPI development, incentive design, and organizational effectiveness.
- Strong cross-cultural communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and the ability to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- High level of integrity, compliance awareness, and risk management capability.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) is highly advantageous.
- Willingness to travel throughout Thailand as required.
