Want to run a sharp, high-performing farm where standards are non-negotiable and the team backs each other? Koroa Group Ltd is searching for a driven farm manager to take the reins of a well-established dairy unit.   This is not just another management role. This is an opportunity to be part of a structured, progressive farming business that invests heavily in its people, systems, and future growth.  Koroa Group challenge traditional thinking, constantly refine their systems, and develop leaders within the business.   With a proud strong team culture to build the success stories that have come through our progression pathways.

Join the team based on values - values set the boundaries for how they interact with each other, farm owners, partners, and the communities you will operate in.

The Position

This role offers the opportunity to manage a well-resourced 650 cow dairy platform spread over 185 effective hectares located near Oxford, North Canterbury. The farm operates a System 4, grass-focused system supported by supplements, with modern infrastructure, in-shed feeding, 70 bale rotary cowshed with automatic cup removers, and teat spray.  This farm is supported with pivots and sprinkler irrigation systems.

As Farm Manager, you will take full responsibility for both the day-to-day and strategic operation of the farm. You will lead and develop your team, drive farm performance, and maintain the high standards Koroa Group is known for, across animal welfare, pasture management, compliance, and farm presentation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring and developing staff
  • Driving farm performance and meeting production and financial targets
  • Implementing feed, pasture and grazing strategies
  • Managing animal health and reproduction programmes
  • Monitoring KPIs including milk production, SCC, fertility and BCS
  • Ensuring compliance, environmental and Health & Safety standards are exceeded
  • Working alongside business owners and rural professionals on planning and budgeting

Most importantly, you will foster a strong team culture where people take ownership, accountability and pride in their work.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be someone who:

  • Has proven dairy farming leadership experience
  • Leads by example and sets high standards
  • Builds strong teams and develops people
  • Has excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Understands farm systems, budgets and KPI management
  • Is motivated, accountable and growth-focused
  • Takes pride in presentation — tidy farm, tidy systems, tidy results

What’s In It For You?

  • Competitive salary package with performance incentives
  • Quality housing provided
  • Clear career progression pathways within a growing business
  • Strong team culture and structured systems
  • Opportunity to help shape future farms and ventures
  • Supportive owners who invest in their people

Our long-term vision is to develop Farm Managers into future business partners and industry leaders.
