Why we need you
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations professional to be a functional leader of the employee-facing operations in South East Asia (Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia). In this role, you will oversee HR operations, including Global Mobility and Onboarding, Compensation and Benefits, and Office Management. Your leadership will ensure compliance with the Thai labor law and support the foundation of the business by ensuring stability and efficiency in the management of the organization's human resources.
We welcome candidates from both Human Resources and People Operations Management backgrounds who have experience in payroll, labor management and global mobility. The ideal candidate is comfortable working “hands-on” and being flexible in an ever-changing company. You will report to the People Operations Manager and lead specialists, each focusing on one key area of Human Resources, to ensure smooth operations and reliable support for the company.
What you will be doing
- Lead and work hands-on with Southeast Asia’s HR-Operations team, covering Global Mobility & Onboarding (GMO), Compensation & Benefits (C&B), and Office Management.
- Supervise and support three functional specialists (one per function) through regular check-ins, performance feedback, and goal setting.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring legal compliance and a positive employee experience.
- Manage immigration processes such as visa applications, renewals, work permits, and 90-day reporting with zero delays or compliance gaps.
- Maintain and audit onboarding documentation every 6 months and continuously improve onboarding satisfaction scores.
- Oversee payroll and benefits operations in partnership with the Finance department, ensuring no errors or compliance issues.
- Conduct regular reviews of benefit offerings, internal salary structure, and policy updates to reflect changes in labor laws and market trends.
- Manage and resolve employee queries regarding compensation, benefits, or HR policies in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day office operations, including procurement, vendor management, logistics, and administrative support.
- Supervise the Office Management Specialist and ensure high-quality support for all internal teams, vendors and facilities.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure quarterly review cycles for all operational documentation.
- Coordinate closely with Legal, Finance, Talent Development, and IT to align on operational workflows and ensure a smooth and seamless employee experience.
- Participate in audits, prepare documentation, and support organizational compliance with Thai labor regulations.
You
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR operations, with at least 2 years in a team lead or senior role
- Strong working knowledge of Thai labor law, including employment contracts, severance, terminations, and immigration processes
- Experience in hands-on operations such as payroll, compliance, or revising policies is strongly preferred
- Background in onboarding/offboarding, HR compliance, office operations, or cross-functional team management
- Experience leading internal audits or maintaining process documentation
- Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field is a plus
- Skills:
- Native level in Thai and fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Advanced knowledge of labor laws, social insurance, and payroll
- Ability to understand employment contracts and policy revisions to ensure they operate correctly
- Human resource data management (employee information, attendance, transfers, evaluations, etc.)
- Familiarity with labor risks
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to lead operational improvements
- Proficient with internal systems such as Google Workspace, HRIS platforms, and Confluence
- Skilled in documentation, team coordination, and cross-functional communication
- Mindset:
- Proactive, accountable, and self-motivated
- Attitude to ensure accuracy of all processes and reporting
- Demonstrates a strong sense of ethics, ensuring full compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Comfortable managing people, solving problems, and improving systems and processes
- Structured and strategic, but also flexible
Nice to Have
- Experience working in tech, fintech, or startup environments
- Familiarity with ISO audits, labor inspections, or risk management
- Involvement in office relocation, renovation, and vendor selection projects
- Experience organizing company culture events, employee engagement, or employee service initiatives
- Background in training or mentoring junior team members
- Knowledge of compensation structure design and job evaluation models
