MMG Rosebery Mine is an underground polymetallic base metal mine located in the township of Rosebery in the west coast of Tasmania, Australia.  It has been at the heart of the Rosebery community since 1936 and is one of Tasmania’s largest and oldest continuously operating, underground mines producing zinc, copper and lead concentrates, as well as gold doré.

It supports approximately 500 workers and their families, has a strong community focus and engages a wide range of local businesses from across Tasmania in its supply chain boosting the economy of the West Coast of Tasmania and beyond.

MMG has an office in Burnie, giving employees the flexibility to work from there when they are not required onsite.

Advisor- Talent Acquisition & HR

Reporting to the HR Manager, the newly created Advisor - Talent Acquisition & HR role will play a critical role in shaping the future of Rosebery.  You will be accountable for ensuring that the Rosebery attracts, hires, and retains the best talent through the entire recruitment process, whilst providing general day to day support for the broader HR team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment for blue and white-collar roles.
• Provide recruitment support and Australian Labour Market advice to hiring managers and the site HR team.
• Develop and implement new recruitment initiatives.
• Provide training to hiring managers on MMG's recruitment processes.
• Support the HR team in succession planning with emphasis on critical skills/hard to fill roles.
• Collaborate with managers to evaluate employee performance during the probationary period.
• Oversee the probationary review process for new employees.
• Conduct exit interviews for departing employees
• Develop and maintain proactive and constructive relationships with internal stakeholders,

About You

With demonstrated experience within a mining (or related) environment, you will have well-developed skills and personal attributes, including the following:

• Experience in working in a recruitment environment, either an in-house team or within a recruitment agency
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent administrative and time management skills
• Strong computer skills across Microsoft Excel, Word and Teams
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Sound understanding of recruitment legislations.
• Ability to foster relationships and collaborate closely with varying hiring managers.
