Your Opportunity

We are seeking a talented HR professional to join our People team in the role of Advisor People Operations. This is a hands-on role supporting the broader IGO People team working closely with leaders across various business units. You will support the team with first-line people matters and provide guidance, support, coaching, and education to stakeholders.  A large part of this role includes the support of cyclical People activities and ensuring management and accuracy of People-related data. The role will offer occasional site travel opportunities and is offered on a fixed-term basis until January 2027.

What You’ll Do

• End-to-end HR support; Manage general enquiries, on and offboarding, inductions and immigration processes;
• Advice & Coaching; Coach leaders on people management and support performance and engagement programs;
• Industrial & Employee Relations; With support from the team, advise on IR & ER matters, including grievance investigations and disciplinary actions; 
• Documentation & Data; Prepare contract variations, secondment letters, maintain accurate records, update systems and ensure data integrity;
• Reporting & Activity tracking; Manage cyclical People reporting requirements, activity schedules, and continuous improvement initiatives; and
• Manage Accounts; support cost management and budget control in the People team by raising purchase orders and receipting invoices.

What You’ll Bring

Along with being collaborative and pro-active with a strong customer focus we are seeking applications from candidates who meet most of the following:

• Experience within a People/HR function performing generalist Advisor and administrative activities;
• Tertiary qualifications in HR (desirable);
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels;
• Highly developed organisational skills and a self-driven approach to managing tasks and projects;
• A flexible approach and willingness to switch between administrative and advisor level activities;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (SuccessFactors and Pronto highly desirable); and
• A recent National Police Clearance (within 2 months)
