Academic Talent Development Teacher

Term 1 Fixed Term Full Time Contract commencing January 2026

The Southport School’s Preparatory School provides an outstanding education for boys. The Preparatory (Prep) School is very proud of its dedicated team of teachers who understand the special ways in which boys learn and who carefully nurture authentic relationships based upon mutual respect and genuine care.  These relationships are the key to the Preparatory School’s success as boys and teachers work together in setting and achieving Academic, Sporting and Cultural goals. 

We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced educator to join our team for Term 1, 2026 as a specialist teacher in Academic Talent Development. This role is to cover a long service leave contract commencing 23 January 2026.

This exciting opportunity involves working with students in the Preparatory School across a variety of extension and enrichment contexts. This talented and passionate educator will help identify, teach and extend our boys whilst being mindful of their social and emotional development. They will collaborate with classroom teachers and the Learning Enhancement Team to design and implement differentiated school initiative programs to accelerate learning and foster critical thinking, creativity and a love of learning.

The successful candidate will be an experienced educator with expertise in working with creative primary aged children. Additionally, a strong knowledge of ACARA and experience with external programs such as Da Vinci Decathon, Tournament of the Minds and Gateways is highly regarded.

As a member of the TSS team, you will be willing to support the Code of Conduct and stated values and Christian Ethos of the School and must hold Queensland Teacher Registration.
