Senior Workforce Planning and Analytics Advisor
Harmony Gold MiningReporting to the Group Human Resources Manager - Australasia, the Senior Workforce Planning and Analytics Advisor provides regional expertise and governance across strategic and operational workforce planning, scheduling, roster design and administration, workforce reporting, and workforce management systems. You'll partner closely with operational leaders, HR, Payroll, Camp and Travel, and IT to ensure workforce demand, availability, roster patterns and time and attendance data are accurately planned and coordinated, with a particular focus on supporting our operations at Hidden Valley Mine.
Roster:
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, at our Brisbane office with the option to WFH 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Strategic workforce planning: Develop and maintain Harmony Australasia's workforce planning framework, translate business strategies and mine plans into workforce demand forecasts, and identify workforce gaps, risks and scenarios.
- Workforce scheduling and roster governance: Establish scheduling standards and controls, review proposed rosters for efficiency and compliance, and support consultation on roster changes.
- CRU Rostering System ownership: Act as regional business process owner for the CRU Rostering System, leading implementation, configuration, training and continuous improvement.
- Workforce reporting and analytics: Build workforce dashboards and reporting packs, analyse turnover, vacancies, overtime and roster effectiveness, and deliver data-driven insights to leaders.
- Labour optimisation and cost management: Analyse the cost impact of rosters, travel and accommodation, and work with Finance to reconcile workforce plans against budgets.
- Business partnering: Build relationships across operational and functional leaders, facilitate workforce planning workshops, and translate complex workforce data into clear advice.
- Governance, risk and assurance: Maintain records and audit trails, conduct assurance reviews, and escalate workforce risks affecting safety, cost or continuity.
Qualifications
What we're looking for:
- Significant experience in workforce planning, workforce management, rostering, scheduling or workforce analytics.
- Demonstrated experience translating operational plans into workforce forecasts.
- Experience working with complex rosters, distributed workforces or multi-location operations.
- Strong workforce data analysis and reporting capability, with advanced spreadsheet and data-management skills.
- Experience implementing, administering or improving workforce-management or scheduling systems.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business-partnering skills.
- Experience within mining, resources, construction or another complex operational environment.
- Experience supporting FIFO, DIDO, residential or rotating-shift workforces.
- Tertiary qualification in HR, business, workforce management, data analytics, finance, operations or industrial engineering (or equivalent professional experience) highly regarded.
