Are you eager to land a brand new role? Our client, a busy public sector client in Bristol, are looking for an experienced Communications Advisor to join their team and play a crucial role in their workforce and change service area. 

Position: Employee Engagement And Communications Advisor
Rate: £23.29 per hour (Umbrella) 
Contract Duration: Temp (Feb 2027) Possible Extension
Working Arrangement: Hybrid/Mainly Remote

Job Purpose:

• To deliver and/or assist delivery of communication and employee engagement campaigns to meet the council’s service objectives and to protect and enhance its reputation.

Job Responsibilities:

• To carry out allocated priority work in line with agreed council objectives and challenge unnecessary communications activities.
• To originate copy and other communications and employee engagement material to engage audiences, increase understanding and build a two-way dialogue. Maintain a high standard in the quality of advice, written material, and communication solutions within agreed protocols.
• Assist with research and customer engagement to help inform communication and engagement aims and objectives. Provide effective monitoring and outcome-based evaluation on results of actions and campaigns.

Job Requirements:

• Degree or relevant equivalent industry or vocational qualification and/or significant experience of working in a communications or employee engagement role.
• Demonstrate good verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to write concisely, accurately and in an engaging way for a variety of audiences: Ability to create, edit, proof and present information effectively in different formats.
• Proven ability to research, monitor and evaluate communication and employee engagement activity in order to seek continual improvement in the service provided to clients.
