Job Description:
We’re looking for a Director of People Operations to help us build a world-class hospitality organization where people feel supported, inspired, and proud of the work they do. In this role, you’ll lead and coach our Strategic People Partners (HRBPs), by working side by side with Senior Operations and People Team leaders to anticipate talent needs, elevate leadership capability in the field, and strengthen our culture across every restaurant. In your partnerships with Senior Ops Leadership, you will function as a Senior HRBP, and will bring your experience as a true HR operator who has proven, measurable experience actively impacting the performance of an organization. Your strategic insight, empathy, and a builder’s mindset will elevate how we attract, grow, and engage our people as we scale for the future.
What You’ll Do:
Build a deep partnership with our Regional and Brand Leaders to strengthen culture, drive engagement, and raise the bar for performance across all locations.
Coach and develop your team of People Partners, supporting their capability as strategic leaders and trusted advisors to the field.
Ensure compliance and consistency through upholding, developing, measuring and implementing standards, policies, and practices that protect our people and our brands.
Be a strong collaborator to your fellow People Team Leaders by creating and strengthening feedback loops between People Ops, Recruiting, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development.
Serve as the nexus point between all People/HR verticals, seeing to it that the People Ops team is an active conduit between our field operations and all People disciplines.
Develop leaders by partnering cross departmentally with Operations and other stakeholders to strengthen leadership capability at every level, supporting clear growth paths and readiness for what’s next.
Lead the way on continuous improvement and utilization of systems and tools such as Workday HCM, performance and talent management tools.
What You’ll Bring:
6-8+ years of experience with at least 3 years people management, ideally in hospitality, retail, or multi-unit environments.
A track record of building scalable systems, teams, and programs in growing organizations.
Strength in coaching leaders, developing talent, and navigating change with clarity and confidence.
Experience creating and implementing HR & People programs and initiatives, particularly for a geographically dispersed, multi-unit workforce with hourly and salaried employees.
Experience leading field-facing People Ops teams and partnering cross-functionally to align people and business goals.
Data-driven thinking with a bias for action (you connect insights to impact).
A grounded yet entrepreneurial mindset: steady, curious and driven by purpose.
Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
Why You’ll Love It Here: You’ll join a People team that believes in growing our business by growing our people. We value curiosity, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to helping our teams thrive.
