Position: Communications & Engagement Specialist
Salary: $43,510 - $48,925 Annually
Reports To: Director of Human Resources & Communications
JOB SUMMARY: As the Communications & Engagement Specialist, you will play a critical role in fostering a positive and engaging work environment while effectively communicating our company's message both internally and externally. You will work closely with the HR team and various departments to ensure clear communication channels, employee engagement, and effective HR operations.
Responsibilities:
- Internal Communication:
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure employees are informed and engaged.
- Manage internal communication platforms, including email newsletters, intranet, and employee meetings.
- Create and distribute communications related to company policies, procedures, and announcements.
- Foster a culture of transparency and open communication within the organization.
- External Communication:
- Develop and execute external communication plans to enhance the company's brand and reputation.
- Manage social media channels, website content, and other external communication platforms.
- Draft press releases, articles, and other materials to promote company initiatives and achievements.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities for proactive communication.
- HR Support:
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
- Support onboarding and orientation processes for new hires.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Handle employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Event Coordination:
- Plan and organize company events, such as team-building activities, holiday parties, and volunteer initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, and vendor management.
- Ensure events align with company culture and objectives.
- Employee Engagement:
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Gather feedback through surveys, focus groups, and other methods to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with department managers to address employee concerns and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field, preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication platforms.
- Understanding of a variety of social media platforms, website management, and graphic design software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to discern between confidential information and public information.
